Synchronising user name and profile name

Coming from Ning, each user will only have one profile per user account. I need to have someway of synchronising the user name and profile name so that they only have to update it in one place. I suspect this could be done through a custom module but not too sure where to start? Would be good if we could do the same with the profile and account image as well.

Profile URL vs. Profile Display Name

Not sure this has been asked yet. What are the implications of adding something like {$item.profile_display_name} to the core? What I did was labelled {$profile_name} as the "Profile URL" (which it is) in the form designer. and then created {$profile_display_name} labelled as "Profile Display Name" so that artists can have a different profile display name, than their URL. Would it be possible to have a profile act as a unique domain name? Even if I had to set it manually in the webhost control panel or htaccess?

Profile character field name limit needed

When viewing the User Profiles - Data Browser if you have a member who uses too many letters in their username the view on the admin screen will break and any options to the right of the screen will be cut off and will not be accessible. We either need a character field limit or a way to widen/scroll the admin screen to see all of the options.

Profile User name Causes Errors for Events

Hi Im using jamroom as a single artist/band,the admin user name was "anti-social" i changed it to "antisocial" and now the events link and gallery links in the menu fail because they still try to point to the events page for "anti-social" but that name does not exist anymore,ive tried resetting caches etc to no avail, im probably doing something wrong,could you guide me in the right direction please? thanks

Tagging a user with a [space] in their Profile name.

I noticed when tagging a user using the "@" symbol, I'm unable to tag another user on my site who has a [space] in their profile name. Such as "DJ Someone". How does JR tagging system detect that? Is that a bug?

Recycle bin detail page shows "?" instead of profile name

Link/Icon to message a follower should be in the profile name box

If you are following someone or someone is following you, and private notes module is installed and enabled, it would be nice and easy if there was a link/icon to message that user located directly in the Profile Name Box. For instance, I visit a friends profile, I click on the [mail] icon to send them an message. Just a thought... Brian

dropdown menu from Profile name (where to find in language editor)

Hello all, I've installed 'support ticket' module, and activated it. I've made several changes in language editor (mainly 'support' to 'help'), from: ACP/admin/support ticket/language, but I can't find where to change the language so that the dropdown menu (see screenshot) will read "help tickets." Where am I forgetting to look? Thank you,
